It is such a privilege to me that I get to visit some of the most beautiful venues and private residences in Suffolk when I photograph weddings. Last Autumn, I had the real honour of documenting Theresa & Steve's 1940's inspired wedding celebrations, set in the gorgeous grounds of the exclusive Sibton Park in Suffolk This fun, 2 day event was a real joy to photograph and I was so pleased to receive some kinds words from the guys, regarding our time together.
The Milsomname really speaks for itself in East Anglia. The group have a remarkable portfolio of stylish, boutique hotels, restaurants, as well as gorgeous wedding venues for couples that really do want to make a statement when it comes to their wedding celebrations. Kesgrave Hallis situated just outside of Ipswich in Suffolk and boasts a truly idyllic environment, that caters for every need. The venue is very popular with stylish couples wanting a superior experience for their guests.
The venue showcases 23 stunning boutique-styled rooms, making it a perfect base for family and friends to stay during the wedding. The premier rooms are also an exquisite choice for bridal preparations, offering sumptuous surroundings and beautiful natural light, allowing for a great location for bridal hair, make up and of course photography.
One of the highlights of this venue for me is that it offers a delightful private dining area, allowing those who are looking for a more intimate affair to host their reception in either 'The Bunker' or 'The Mess' which both come with an events team that really cater for your every need.
From the moment you walk through the doors of Kesgrave Hall, you really feel special and so if you are looking for a wedding venue with a difference, I really recommend dropping by for maybe lunch or drinks and taking a look around.
I wanted to take you guys through a short collection of my portfolio from photographing weddings at Kesgrave Hall and so I hope you enjoy them below. If you would like to chat about your Milsoms wedding, I would love to hear all about it.
Last July I had the honour of documenting the awesome wedding of Claire & Mark at the gorgeous Woodhall Manor wedding venue in Suffolk. The day was amazing and everyone had such a great time, celebrating their marriage. After I delivered their wedding albums to them, just before Christmas, the guys were kind enough to send over some lovely words, which I would love to share with you.
'Not only were our wedding photographs amazing, but the whole experience we received throughout was really outstanding. From the moment we met with Ross, all the way to the delivery of our gorgeous wedding albums, we were so well looked after. We are both so glad we chose Ross as our Photographer, we will always have our wedding day memories so beautifully preserved'
- Claire & Mark Shepherd
I had such a blast in July of this year working with some of my wedding vendor friends on a fantastic woodland themed wedding styled shoot in the heart of Suffolk at the gorgeous Kenton Hall Estate wedding venue. Kenton Hall is a fantastic new venue to the area that boasts jaw-dropping grounds, a fabulous marquee space and some of the most impressive Glamping facilities in the region, if not nationwide. It was here that a collective of like-minded vendors got together to create an enchanting woodland themed shoot, to showcase some of the amazing talent we have here in the region. I am excited to share some of the images I captured on the day, alongside principal photographer Nick Illot.

We really are spoilt in this part of the world for gorgeous wedding venues and 'The Barn' in Clopton, Suffolk is no exception.
Set in idyllic Suffolk countryside The Barn is a stunning light filled space, perfect for private parties, weddings, celebrations, art shows and corporate events. The space is extremely flexible and can accommodate both smaller gatherings and bigger groups, with ample room for up to 100 guests.
Tranquil and secluded, it is in fact only 7 miles from central Ipswich, and has excellent road access from both the A12 and A14. There are good rail links to London Liverpool Street, Cambridge and Norwich, and the market town of Woodbridge is a short drive away, with its own station providing rail access to Ipswich and the coast. - Jane Stevensen, The Barn
The fair will showcase some of the best suppliers in the region, set in the idyllic grounds of this awesome wedding venue.
Come along and say 'Hi' at The Wedding Fair & Open Day, hosted by The Barn, Suffolk on Sunday 27th May 2012 – 11am-4pm – free entry!
Last weekend I had a great time at The Truly Marvellous Wedding Fair at Kenton Hall Estate in Suffolk. Kenton Hall Estate is a beautiful new venue in the heart of Suffolk and is home to some of the most stunning grounds, making it ideal for anyone looking to hold their big day in the heart of Suffolk tranquility. It's also one of the only venues in the region to offer 'Glamping' for their client's guests, giving a fun, quirky alternative to the usual accommodation choices.
Their first wedding show was a huge success, sourcing some of the most creative and revered wedding vendors Suffolk has to offer and I can't wait until the next one. I also had the opportunity to chat with some really fun couples, so thanks to all you guys too, whom I had the pleasure to speak too.
Please take some time to watch the below video charting the day, courtesy of the ever-awesome Camera on Films.
You may remember a couple of months ago I posted Lisa & Daryl's Engagement Shoot down at the Ipswich Waterfront. Well the time certainly flew and before I knew it the big day had finally arrived. The guys had chosen 'All Manor of Events' as their wedding venue. Set in stunning rural grounds, the venue, based at Manor Farm is a really cool venue and where Tanja & I also chose to get married back in 2009. It was a really magnificent day and with the weather on our side, we managed to get a beautiful set of images that really captured the essence of the day. Lisa & Daryl really do have a wonderful set of friends and family and it was clear from listening to the heartfelt sentiments of the speeches that they'll enjoy a long and very happy life together.
It really was a blessing to capture your big day guys, all the very best of wished for your future, RD
