There are lots of options if you are looking to attend a Suffolk wedding fair. But it is so important that you do not waste your precious time attending all the available shows, only to find that your kind of suppliers are not in attendance. In my opinion, this is usually because many of the wedding fairs just look to get whoever they can in through the door, instead of specifically marketing to a key demographic which always bodes better for both the attendants and the wedding suppliers involved. So it was really refreshing that last year, a new wedding fair approach rose from the crowds. Emily and Caroline at The Truly Marvellous Wedding & Bottom Drawer Fair really have taken things to the next level of instead of creating just another wedding, have created a new creative, sensory experience that has a key demographic always close in mind.
It was a real honour to be asked by my good friend Emily McVeigh over at Kenton Hall Estate to pop over to her recent wedding fair at her gorgeous Suffolk wedding venue and run a workshop for brides on wedding photography. 'The Truly Marvellous Wedding Fair' is a unique, forward-thinking take on the conventional wedding fair, incorporating informative workshops and a host of other interactive events that run throughout the day to educate and entertain the modern bride.
I had a great time presenting a short talk on what to consider when looking for a wedding photographer, from researching the market to find a 'good fit' for your own style and personality, right through to what to expect at the wedding consultation and a whole lot more. It was great to also take time to speak to some really cool brides after the talk and answer a few questions too.
A big thank you also to my buddy Paul at Dreamwave Events, for capturing some shots of me presenting the workshop.
Last weekend I had a great time at The Truly Marvellous Wedding Fair at Kenton Hall Estate in Suffolk. Kenton Hall Estate is a beautiful new venue in the heart of Suffolk and is home to some of the most stunning grounds, making it ideal for anyone looking to hold their big day in the heart of Suffolk tranquility. It's also one of the only venues in the region to offer 'Glamping' for their client's guests, giving a fun, quirky alternative to the usual accommodation choices.
Their first wedding show was a huge success, sourcing some of the most creative and revered wedding vendors Suffolk has to offer and I can't wait until the next one. I also had the opportunity to chat with some really fun couples, so thanks to all you guys too, whom I had the pleasure to speak too.
Please take some time to watch the below video charting the day, courtesy of the ever-awesome Camera on Films.
