With some couples, their connection just shines and after spending just over an hour with Amber & Jamie for their engagement session, it was so clear just how fond they are of each other.
April saw a number of really fun shoots for me and Erika & Nathan's engagement shoot was certainly no exception. The guys are getting married in early June, with a traditional church ceremony followed by a reception at The Last Anchor in Ipswich and I really can't wait to capture it for them. Erika and Nathan chose the picturesque setting of Christchurch Park in Ipswich town centre for their engagement shoot. We headed out mid-morning and visited a number of quiet parts of the grounds to capture some fun, informal portraits of the guys.
You'll remember that I photographed Simone & Christopher's beautiful wedding at Lavenham Church & Hadleigh Town Hall and also their fun engagement shoot at the Saatchi Gallery in London. Well. I was delighted to receive the gorgeous thank you card from the guys (below) which featured some of their wedding photos as well as a lovley personal 'thank you'. It was such a fantastic touch after I had such an amazing time and was truly honoured to be chosen to document their day.
Thanks again guys, RD
It's not often that a bridal wear shop blows you away, but that was the case this week when I was asked to photograph the interiors of 'Nell'Amore Bridal Consultancy', a new boutique business in Halstead, Essex. The period building has been home to some amazing businesses over the years and really is the jewel in the bustling Halstead high street. Owner Lauren Jeffs has recently opened up the doors on this exquisitely-styled bridal wear house, keeping all the period features and building on it with her own personal touch.
Lauren, who has previously worked for one of the leading bridal shops in Colchester is now looking to put her own stamp on the industry, setting her sights on both the local and national scene. With a warm and welcoming approach, exclusive personal appointments as standard and a mind-blowing customer experience, you really need to take a visit if you are looking for that perfect dress.
Lauren can be contacted directly through Nell'Amore's stunning website.
You'll remember a while back I shot the 2012 accessory collection for Nell'Amore Bridal Consultancy in Essex along with the amazing Caroline Gould: Wedding Planner, Bohemia Hair & Purity: The Beauty Retreat. Well, this week the shoot was picked up by U.S Wedding Blog 'Life of a vintage lover' and Caitlin at the blog has run with the feature in her latest post. It's great when we're able to promote our services to a wider audience and so thanks to everyone that was involved with this shoot and made it happen.
In today's market, it's not just important to have a great product or service, you need to give your clients an amazing experience too. Purity: The Beauty Retreat was one such business that caught my eye in the summer of 2011. Purity: The Beauty Retreat is owned by Michelle Plummer. A beauty therapist and make up artist with a wealth of experience, most prominently with Virgin Atlantic, working with first class clients onboard their planes.
Michelle and her team work out of their stunning town centre premises in Ipswich, Suffolk and pride themselves as a 'results-driven business' in whatever they do. They also exclusively work with Guinot face and body treatments, O.P.I Manicures and Pedicures, Gelish nail treatments, Mii Make up and offer Waxing, Electrolysis, Massage and much more.
Michelle, especially, is an amazing Make Up Artist and is 100% my 'go-to' when I'm looking for a stellar job on my styled shoots.
If you're looking for a professional, customer-focussed experience when choosing your wedding make up artist or are looking to treat the girls in your bridal to an amazing pampering experience before the big day, be sure to speak to Michelle and the team via their website.
We provide innovative design solutions in all the services we offer, from complete refurbishment to interior decoration of individual rooms, space planning and lighting design, no job is too big or too small.
We shy away from a conventional approach to interior design. Each of our spaces we design is unique. Let your imagination run wild and watch us turn your dreams into a reality.
We pride ourselves on our close working relationships with highly skilled craftsmen, all of which we are happy to call upon in the creation of a successful scheme for our clients.
The ladies have really raised the bar with their attention to detail when it comes to both their interior pieces as well as their customer service. They are also one of a handful of showrooms in the UK to stock both the exquisite Kelly Hoppen and Esquire Home collections.
If you are looking to really take your wedding list to the next level and sample some of the unique pieces the showroom has to offer, you can get in touch with Holly via their website.

This shoot may well go down as the coldest ever! It was a blustery, wet and pretty dreary day but my client Jade was ever the true professional and didn't let it phase her one bit. We chose the gritty backdrops of The Waterfront development in central Ipswich for our location and so armed with two wardrobe changes, we braved the elements to create some striking fashion inspired portraits. Check out some of the images from the shoot below.
If you would like to schedule your very own portrait experience that really produces stunning, magazine-worthy images, I'd love to hear from you.
