Last weekend I had the pleasure of meeting up with Natalie & Jonathan again for their engagement session, ahead of their wedding set for later this year at All Manor of Events wedding venue in Suffolk.
If there was ever a session that truly felt like home, it was this one.
Not only because I was invited to document Jen & Gibbs' engagement at the beautiful private Suffolk residence where Wibbs grew up, but also because I've had the opportunity to capture these guys a few times in the past, as models on various styled shoots.
Sunday was a really great day. In the morning, I got to hang out with the super-lovely Joy & Richard for their engagement session in probably my favourite local park in Ipswich, Holywells Park.
I was so pleased when I was asked to photograph Stuart & James' Civil Partnership. You may remember that a couple of months before we had such great fun on the beach for their engagement shoot and so I just couldn't wait for the big day to arrive. The guys had chosen the fantastic 'All Manor of Events' in Henley, Suffolk and when the day did arrive, we were greeted by some fantastic weather. Also at this time of year (September) all the trees had started to turn some amazing rich colours which really make for some stunning backdrops. Friends and family had come far and wide to share this special day with the guys and the celebrations went on well into the night with some fantastic dance floor action (which I love to get right in the middle of with my camera!). Such great memories.
I had an amazing time guys, thank you for allowing me to capture such a perfect day, RD
You may remember a couple of months ago I posted Lisa & Daryl's Engagement Shoot down at the Ipswich Waterfront. Well the time certainly flew and before I knew it the big day had finally arrived. The guys had chosen 'All Manor of Events' as their wedding venue. Set in stunning rural grounds, the venue, based at Manor Farm is a really cool venue and where Tanja & I also chose to get married back in 2009. It was a really magnificent day and with the weather on our side, we managed to get a beautiful set of images that really captured the essence of the day. Lisa & Daryl really do have a wonderful set of friends and family and it was clear from listening to the heartfelt sentiments of the speeches that they'll enjoy a long and very happy life together.
It really was a blessing to capture your big day guys, all the very best of wished for your future, RD
I must admit I'm very excited about shooting the wedding next month for Lisa & Daryl. I met up with them last Saturday for the first time since they initially booked me way back last year and it was great to catch up with them again. It seems like they're pretty much there with their preparations for the big day which will be held at All Manor of Events, in Henley, UK and it all sounds like it's going to be an awesome day. The guys were fantastic to work with as we headed down to the waterfront in Ipswich and were naturals in front of the camera - Aren't they just an amazing looking couple?
Check out some of the images from the session below. If you're looking for a modern, fun approach for your wedding photography, why not get in touch? it would be great to hear from you.
