Confetti 101 | What to do, how to do it & why it's another great memory to add to your wedding album

It's the stuff that you'll no doubt be finding bits of for weeks on end, after your wedding day.  It's always the go-to shot when weddings are shown on film and TV and It's the stuff that many of your older relatives will no doubt have tucked away in their handbag, on your wedding day, ready for the opportune moment!

It's up to you!

Yep, it's as easy as that.  As far as my own approach is concerned, there's no right or wrong answer, no 'way it's always been done' and no specific rules.  So you can now breathe a sigh of relief.  Done? OK, let's move on.

The power of sequencing images in albums / A Woodhall Manor Wedding

Woodhall Manor Wedding

I love creating wedding album pages with sequences as I feel they really add an extra essence to a moment passed and help tell the story in more detail.  For this exquisite Woodhall Manor wedding I used this technique throughout those pages where I felt it really leant itself to the story. In this example, the Bride burst out into fits of giggles during her bridal prep portraits, which was so infectious and so had the whole room giggling too.

A really lovely moment, which will always be remembered for years to come with their wedding album.

"..Woodhall Manor is a beautiful 16th century listed mansion, set in nine acres of landscaped grounds and beautiful walled gardens, with a quintessentially English charm.

Located at Woodbridge, close to Suffolk’s beautiful heritage coast, within easy reach of Ipswich and the county of Essex, Woodhall Manor is offered to you on an exclusive-use basis.

Woodhall Manor provides an idyllic setting for your wedding and reception; its versatility makes it the perfect choice for any form of celebration, business meeting, corporate or charity event.  Exclusive use of our wonderful country estate is guaranteed for the day.

Woodhall Manor retains its original charm and character while  providing  modern comforts, creating a wonderful atmosphere.

This hidden gem is now a relaxed and intimate haven for smaller events; able to accommodate larger parties just as successfully, the classic elegance of Woodhall has it all.."

Albums : It's a wrap!...reluctantly

Untitled-1

You know, as I...well, Tanja...wraps up an album this evening for hand delivery tomorrow, I really don't want to let it go! Silly as it sounds, it's kind of the end of a relationship for me. Like a child you've given birth to, seen grow up and then let go into the world. It marks the end of a journey that started with a conversation, which led to a relationship, which grew ideas and then resulted in a magical day which was captured forever.

And now, best of all, I have this wonderful heirloom to pass on to a fabulous couple, to cherish and pass down through their families.

I feel honoured....just saying :) RD
