I was fortunate to have my work featured recently, as part of a multi-page article by Caroline Gould Weddings in the Jan/Feb 2015 issue of Essential Suffolk Magazine.
The Christmas season is always a popular choice for engagements. There's something about cosying up in the warm, when it's cold outside, or maybe being around loved ones that entices couples all over the world to take that next step in their relationships.
If you're reading this after getting engaged over the festive period, congrats! It really is a wonderful time to do so and no doubt by now, you're super excited, talk has already begun about plans, dates and dresses and you've sent your other half off to the local store to pick up an armful of wedding magazines.
This time of year between Christmas and New Year is always great, as many of us are off work and so have a little more time to ourselves. So how should you make the most of this downtime together? Well, I wanted to share with you three tips I think you'll find helpful and allow you to hit the ground running once the new year comes around.
In the past, I have been in the fortunate position to have met some of the most amazing wedding suppliers in Suffolk and across the UK, with many of which becoming great friends. I know that many of my prospective and current clients check out my blog from time to time to see what I’ve been up to, which got me thinking. What better way to introduce some of my trusted vendor friends to my clients than to give them the spotlight for 5 minutes here on my blog where they could tell us about their business, their inspirations and what makes them tick. So here you have it, a new series of interviews has been born, I hope you enjoy them.
Today I had the chance to sit down with Cambridge Wedding Planner Katrina Otter, who organises weddings throughout Cambridge, The Midlands, London and across the UK. Katrina is someone I follow regularly on social media and through her blog as she creates some really valuable content for couples, which I would really recommend checking out.
Whatever you refer to them as, be it "Digital Images", "Hi-res Files" or "Digital Negatives", it has been common place for brides and grooms the world over to have the digital versions of their wedding images as one of their top 'must haves' when it comes to their wedding photography. But I'm often asked by couples as to what this actually means.
I'm really excited about this fantastic new section of the blog! Every now and then I'll be hand-picking some of my most awesome friends in the business (who come 100% recommended) and asking them to give you glimpse into what they do and more importantly offering you guys some really helpful and interesting information which will no doubt be so useful.
To kick things off, I would like to introduce you to my friend Caroline Gould. Caroline is an Ipswich Wedding Planner who runs the hugely successful Endless Love Wedding Planning. That's enough from me, I'll pass you over to Caroline..oh, and be sure to follow Caroline on Facebook and Twitter too to see whats she's up to...
Why Hire a Wedding Planner?
78% of Brides who have just got married wish they’d had a professional to help plan their wedding. Don’t have any regrets after your wedding day – here are just a few reasons why you should consider hiring a wedding planner:
You work long hours and don't have the time
The average bride spends the equivalent of 6 full time working weeks planning her wedding. Hiring a Wedding Planner means you have one dedicated point of contact who will be with you from the initial consultation right through to your wedding day.
You are hiring professionals to do everything else
Hiring a Wedding Planner is becoming the natural thing to do, 26% of UK Brides do. Why not get someone in who has done it lots of times before and has the experience of making the common mistakes, so already knows the solutions! A Wedding Planner will not panic when a problem arises, they will simply look at it logically and come up with a solution.
You will save money
With a keen eye for detail, a Wedding Planner will help you set your budget and more importantly help you stick to it! A wedding planner will also be using venues and suppliers over and over again so is able to negotiate discounts on your behalf.
Whether you want a traditional wedding that adheres to the conventional etiquette or a unique, wacky original design – a Wedding Planner will give your wedding the 'wow' factor.
Your venue includes a wedding planner in their price
