During a heartfelt Best Man speech, it was noted that if there was anyone that embodied their name, it was Joy. It was a statement that all in attendance, wholeheartedly agreed on.
I recently had the pleasure of documenting a gorgeously fun & colourful Woodhall Manor wedding in Suffolk for the truly lovely Michele & Michael.
Here is what they had to say about their experience with me:
Leah & Paul's Woodhall Manor wedding really was a perfect day. You may remember that we had the chance to catch up for their engagement shoot in Southend earlier in the year and before long the big day was soon upon us.
Leah chose nearby Milsom Kesgrave Hall in Suffolk for her bridal preparations. This beautiful boutique hotel boasts stunning rooms and so was a perfect choice for capturing the beautiful bridal images that the morning had to offer. Paul chose the stunning surroundings of Woodhall Manor for the groom preparation and with the luxurious facilities the venue had to offer, allowed for the boys to fully relax before the festivities began.
With a truly elegant, timeless style of airy tones and thoughtful personal touches, their loved ones gathered at nearby Sutton church for a beautiful ceremony, before moving over to Woodhall Manor for their stunning reception.
This was one of the greatest moments of the day when Leah saw her dad for the first time.
Leah and her girls decided to ride to the ceremony location in style.
One of Leah & Paul's favourite images taken outside of Woodhall Manor.
I truly enjoyed being Leah and Paul's Woodhall Manor wedding photographer on such an amazing and memorable day in their lives. I wish them many years of happiness and with their stunning bespoke wedding album now off to print, I cannot wait to hand over their own first heirloom.
Last July I had the honour of documenting the awesome wedding of Claire & Mark at the gorgeous Woodhall Manor wedding venue in Suffolk. The day was amazing and everyone had such a great time, celebrating their marriage. After I delivered their wedding albums to them, just before Christmas, the guys were kind enough to send over some lovely words, which I would love to share with you.
'Not only were our wedding photographs amazing, but the whole experience we received throughout was really outstanding. From the moment we met with Ross, all the way to the delivery of our gorgeous wedding albums, we were so well looked after. We are both so glad we chose Ross as our Photographer, we will always have our wedding day memories so beautifully preserved'
- Claire & Mark Shepherd
Claire and Mark have excellent taste, choosing the beautiful All Saints Church in Hollesley, followed by the luxurious Woodhall Manor in Suffolk for their wedding. Both of these unique venues offer such history, alongside their obvious beauty and provided a perfect setting for what was set to be an amazing day. The guys had exclusively booked Woodhall Manor for the whole weekend, which allowed Claire and her bridal party to enjoy all the delights that the venue had to offer on the night before the wedding, with Mark staying close by with the guys. I arrived bright and early the next day to begin capturing the bridal preparations in the wedding suite of Woodhall Manor. The main house boasts exquisite details and stunning rooms which gives for great images. I then proceeded to capture Mark's arrival and preparations in front of the house, before shooting off to the local pub to capture the guys enjoying drinks before the ceremony, just a short walk away.
You may remember I headed off to Blakeney in Norfolk for Claire & Mark's engagement shoot a few months earlier and now with the day finally here, there was a real air of excitement as the guests congregated at the church, ready to welcome the guys for their big moment. Claire chose a stunning horse drawn carriage, with her brother close by her side as their transportation to the church, which was greeted with open mouths when it pulled up onto the gravel. A beautiful ceremony followed, complimented by creative readings from close friends and sublime, atmospheric music that echoed through the historic halls of All Saints.
A short ride back to Woodhall Manor and the celebrations really went up a gear, from the laughter and tears gracing the touching speeches in the stunning dining room to the dancing and jubilation of the evening celebrations that went on right into the ealry hours.
It really was a truly marvellous day and I felt so lucky to be able to capture all the memories for Claire & Mark. They really are a tremendous couple with fantastic friends and family, who made me feel so welcome.
Guys, Wishing you every happiness as you start the next chapter of your lives together. You're amazing people. RD
