Kelly and Ryan were married on June 18th, with a ceremony and reception at Woodhall Manor.
On the day of the wedding, Ellie (my assistant) and I arrived onsite while Kelly was getting ready in the secret room at the manor, and Ryan was in the cottage on the grounds. Although they were in separate places, they had written and exchanged cards that morning, just to start out the day the right way.
I was touched by all the little details that Kelly had put into her prep as nods to her family. For example, she was honouring her nan, who had passed away, by wearing her rings on the wedding day. Kelly also gave cufflinks to her father that morning, and she had a special reveal with just him before the ceremony. By the time her dad was walking her down the aisle to give her away, it was obvious to everyone that these tears, while discreet, were not his first.
After the touching ceremony in the banquet hall at Woodhall, everyone headed over to the main house for drinks and canapés at the front of the house while the banquet hall got turned around for the reception. We captured some group photos at the front of the house before Kelly and Ryan headed off with Ellie & I across the grounds so we could take portraits together.
From there, it was off to the dinner and then the main reception, where guests enjoyed drinks and dancing. Ryan and Kelly cut their cake on the dance floor before they had their first dance together, and then the guests partied the evening away on a light-up LED dance floor.
Thank you so much, Kelly & Ryan, for letting me document this very special day for you. It was a real joy spending time with you and your families, who all made Ellie and I feel so welcome. I wish you every happiness for your future together!
